About

Limited Drops began with an observation, and a decision to design with intent. An LA County hat had become a signature in daily life, lunch and dinner, premieres and errands. When a close friend called it a “uniform,” the moment reframed the familiar. Rather than abandon what felt personal, the impulse was to reimagine it.

The first experiment was simple and bold: a beloved LA County cap, a House Lannister patch from Comic-Con and a makeshift application that revealed something new. The silhouette stayed; the meaning changed. Compliments followed on the show floor, then requests. The idea moved from improvisation to craft.

From there, the language of the brand took shape, The Poppy, Hollywood, Great Seal, Board of Education, Public Works, a vocabulary of place and pride translated onto headwear with precise materials and considered finishes. Sourcing refined, techniques improved, and every element, the crown, the patchwork, the hand, was treated like design, not decoration.

Today, Limited Drops creates custom hats, apparel, stationery, enamel pins, and one-off objets that honor the past while dressing the present. Each piece carries a sense of locality and legacy, produced with the discipline of a studio and the warmth of something made by hand. Editions vary by design, some singular, others produced for wider release—but all maintain the brand’s standards of proportion, longevity, and cultural provenance.

Design Principles

  • Provenance: City codes, civic emblems and archival references, distilled, not replicated.

  • Proportion: Clean lines, tailored profiles and materials chosen for wear and patina.

  • Precision: Elevated construction, considered trims, responsible production partners.

  • Personalization: From bespoke commissions to retailer-ready editions.
